Tenzin Kunsel is an associate at Elliot Ifraimoff & Associates, P.C., where he assists senior attorneys with representation of victims of motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall incidents, and workplace injuries.
Tenzin holds the distinction of being the first Tibetan attorney licensed to practice law in two countries—India and the United States (New York)—a remarkable achievement that reflects his unique and inspiring legal journey. Before relocating to the United States, Tenzin practiced as a civil litigation attorney in India, representing clients in a wide range of matters. He earned his first law degree from Karnataka State Law University in India, followed by a second law degree from Fordham University School of Law in New York, where he was a member of the Immigrant Rights Clinic.
Prior to joining Elliot Ifraimoff & Associates, Tenzin clerked for a year at a New York litigation firm specializing in family law, immigration, and real estate.
Well recognized within his communities in both countries, Tenzin is known not only for his legal accomplishments but also for his deep commitment to community service. He has worked with individuals, NGOs, and the Tibetan government in exile, using his legal expertise to serve and empower others.
Outside the legal field, Tenzin helps organize cultural festivals that provide small Himalayan businesses with opportunities to showcase their products. He is also an avid sports fan who enjoys soccer, UFC, Formula 1, and basketball.
